Bearhawk Aircraft
Flight Control Reimagined
Bearhawk Aircraft brings solid-state power distribution to kit aircraft with the PDM28 and dual Blink Marine CAN keypads.
Since their inception, Bearhawk Aircraft has empowered pilots to build rugged and versatile aircraft. From 2025 they have taken a significant leap forward in kit aircraft electrical systems. In partnership with Hardwire Electronics, Bearhawk has integrated the PDM28 into their aircraft builds. The solid-state Power Distribution Module, paired with dual Blink Marine CAN bus keypads, gives pilots sophisticated control over crucial systems like lights, pumps and avionics. The result is a streamlined, reliable and feature-rich electrical architecture that sets a new standard for safety and innovation in kit aircraft.
At the core is the PDM28, which replaces traditional fuses and relays with a more robust and intelligent solution. Two Blink Marine CAN bus keypads give pilots an intuitive interface for everything from basic lighting to critical avionics.

Bearhawk chose the PDM28 to match their commitment to quality and performance. It brings several key advantages for builders and pilots.
Comprehensive electrical system protection
The PDM28 protects the entire electrical system against overcurrents and faults. If an output trips, the system can automatically retry it, so intermittent faults do not unnecessarily disable critical components.
Simple implementation of advanced features
The PDM28 is programmable, so advanced functions are easy to configure. Features like flashing landing lights, which used to need complex wiring and extra components, are now set up in software.
Enhanced redundancy for critical systems
Safety is paramount in aviation. The PDM28-based architecture builds in redundancy for safety-critical systems, so essential functions stay operational and pilots get greater peace of mind.
Streamlined installation and maintenance
Replacing a web of fuses, relays and heavy-gauge wiring with one central solid-state unit simplifies the whole electrical system. The initial build is quicker, and long-term maintenance and troubleshooting are easier.
As Bearhawk Aircraft continues to support the aviation community with highly capable and dependable kits, the PDM28 is a significant step forward. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to using modern technology to deliver performance, safety and reliability for every Bearhawk pilot.
